Struggling to Engage Frontline Employees?

Inside AMC Theatres: People, Popcorn, and the Power of Creative Comms

How AMC Theatres (the world's largest movie theatre chain) Engages 30,000+ employees – One Story, Multiple Locations and One Post at a Time.

When your teams are spread across theatres, time zones, and shifts, how do you build a culture with a strong sense of belonging?

AMC Theatres figured it out. And it’s anything but boring.

In this exclusive Comms Show interview, Adam Murphy, Director, People Analytics & Systems (AMC Theatres), Abby McMullen, Manager of Inclusive Communications (AMC Theatres), and Barbara Booras, Snr Customer Community Manager go behind the scenes of AMC All Access – the internal comms engine helping thousands of employees stay connected, inspired, and engaged (with a little movie magic along the way).

You'll learn how AMC transformed its internal comms from top-down announcements to a thriving, people-powered community with engagement rates most companies only dream of.

You’ll learn:

  • How AMC decentralizes internal comms – empowering employees to own the conversation with grassroots engagement
  • The role of creativity, contests, and crowdsourced content in building a sense of belonging
  • Real-world examples you can try at your organization (from movie-themed competitions to window art for major releases)
  • How to create open, self-sufficient comms without micro-managing the message

If you’re an internal comms or HR leader tired of chasing engagement, drowning in top-down messaging, or wondering how to make your company feel smaller (even as it grows bigger) – this session is for you.

AMC’s approach isn’t theory, it’s a proven playbook for frontline connection, culture amplification, and bottom-up storytelling that scales.

You won't want to miss this. Trust us.
