As Caitlin highlights in this excellent guide, airline companies face specific challenges when it comes to internal communications and engagement.
On average, around 85% of an airline’s workforce is frontline, and all the data shows that these people are less engaged than desk-based workers.
While this disparity isn’t unique to the aviation industry, the impacts of employee disengagement on customer service, brand experience, and public safety can be huge.
For these reasons, your internal comms plan needs to have a strong mix of channels that enable senior leadership visibility, manager-led conversations, and plenty of opportunities for employee feedback.
Check out our sample communication plan (click the image below to enlarge + download!), which acts as a guide for creating your company’s unique calendar. Remember that your plan needs to align with your organization’s business strategy, reflect your culture, and be backed by clear metrics for success.
Good luck!
