From serving customers on the floor to providing patient care, frontline workers are critical to our society and economy – and to your organization’s success.
But do they feel that way? To find out, we surveyed 7,500 global frontline workers across multiple industries, including more than 1,450 in LATAM.
We found that despite being vital members of the team, many frontline employees are experiencing a ‘Frontline Gap’ – the significant divide between desk and non-desk employees that's leaving them feeling disengaged, disempowered, and disconnected.
59% of frontline workers in LATAM say their company cares more about office workers than them, for example.
Without the right response from employers, this symptom (alongside many others) of the Frontline Gap can cause higher turnover, negative impacts to company reputation, and poor customer service.
Here's a sneak peek at more our findings:
- 1 in 2 have feedback for leadership but no way to share it
- 60% feel they have a bigger impact than their office colleagues but aren't recognized for it
- 28% say their company doesn't care about them as a person
- Only 19% are certain their company culture applies to them
- 66% would quit their job for another company offering the same pay but better career growth
