Frontline workers comprise 80% of the global workforce, yet attrition rates are running at 40% to 50%, and this disengagement is costing a projected $8.8 trillion in lost productivity.
Leading causes of this disaffection are poor communication, inadequate technology, and a lack of connection and community.
Engaging deskless workers requires a different approach to traditional ‘corporate’, office-focused internal comms. You need to have the right blend of face-to-face communications, relevant and real-time news, and tech that helps create community. It’s also critical to integrate regular recognition, opportunities for collaboration, and two-way channels that encourage and report back on front-line feedback.

The key is to make sure your plan supports your organization’s business strategy, incorporates insights from your frontline into what they need, and that you know the metrics you want to track. Best of luck!
